The International K and KB series are trucks that were produced by International Harvester, the first being the K introduced in mid 1940. In total there were 42 models, 142 different wheel base lengths and load ratings ranging from 1/2 ton to 90,000 lbs. They are best known for their durability, prewar design in a postwar era, and low price.
This very cool Hot Rodded 1948 International Ute on the original chassis is a prime opportunity to get yourself a great pickup with all the hard work already done …. with a huge amount of work at very reputable Hotrod shops in VIC throughout the years, it has the good old combination of 350cu Chevy Engine with a GM Turbo Hydro Auto and 9 Inch Diff.
Custom gauges & column along with the retro seat fitment to the interior make for quite a tidy and simple very comfortable cab space.
Air Conditioning is fitted also …. and currently requires re-commisioning.
Its has power Steering and the engine runs quite nicely indeed … this would be an excellent Ute to spend some time on and get ready to register, maybe a job for Father & Son to hook their efforts into and we know how much that means to us Motor Enthusiasts.
