In 1949 Adler was one of the first German Marques to recommence production after WW2. Right up until the end of manufacturing in 1957, it was unapproachable as a maker in 2 stroke motorcycles. In Australia, Adler was quite expensive against the popular British marques such as BSA, Matchless, Triumph and Norton however it could more than hold its own on the highway with a top speed of 75mph and exceptional handling around town thanks to its low centre of gravity in thanks to the engines placement.
