The Velocette Venom was the high-performance single in the 1960 model range.

The Venom was a square 86 x 86 mm single with lots of valve overlap and an ability to rev much more freely than most British singles. So much so that the Velocette factory had to issue an advice notice to purchasers that it was necessary to rev the engine to enjoy the best performance. Coupled to a slick 4 speed gearbox and a very light clutch, these bikes are a joy to ride.

This example has been in storage since 1988. Originally delivered and registered in Victoria, so easy to register again as the registration label is still attached to the bike. This bike has the more desirable 4 ¼ gal tank copied over from the successful KTT Mk 7 and 8 racers and the correct short seat for this tank. Also has Clubman style exhaust.

The bike runs well as can be seen in the video. Leave as is or upgrade to whatever level desired.

This motorcycle is located in our facility in Melbourne, for further information please contact Dave Hosking 0474 182 002 or Mason Hibbert 0455 191 035
