First owner name unknown purchased the car in 1972 from a Melbourne ford dealer

The car was taken to QLD in 1973 as the owner went to work the mines to help pay for it.

The car was then sold to its second owner after its return to Melbourne by James O’Brien (Jinxy)

James drove the car for many years as his daily driver while living in the Mordialloc area of Melbourne.

In August 1994 James had the engine rebuilt by Saliba Engine reconditioners in Springvale ,Melbourne.

In 2008 Brian Jolly a lifelong friend was chosen by James to be the 3rd and next owner.

The ute was used in Brian’s painting and decorating business for some years before deciding in August 2013 to take the ute off the road and begin a restoration.

A bare metal restoration was completed mid 2016. included was an engine rebuild by MS engine reconditioning in Springvale.

Rarely driven, only the odd weekend weather permitting and as a result there has been a minimal amount of use since the restoration.

The car always attracted a crowd whenever it was out and about.

If there’s one better I’d love to see it.
