Holden HK Brougham went on sale in August 1968. Built in 1968 for a 10 month period until June 1969. This vehicle was built at the General Motors Dandenong Plant.

Some History:
The owner (father) purchased from Reg Hunt Holden Elsternwick on 16/10/1971 for $3000.00. Speedo odometer showing, 44,714 miles. (Have original purchase receipts for deposit, final payment and sale contract). At the time the Brougham was not for sale as it was being used by Reg Hunt and parked out the back of the car yard. After some negotiations the vehicle was purchased.

The Brougham was usually kept garaged and used as his daily driver for commuting to work. In around 1976, the owner (father) decided to purchase a motor bike for his commute and stored the Brougham in his garage. From around 1976, the Brougham was unused, remaining registered till 1983. (Speedo odometer showing, 67,026 miles (Travelled approximately 22,312 miles between 1971-1976).

Between 1992-1996, the Brougham underwent a restoration which included a full re spray, original engine and transmission rebuild, new rubbers, tyres, brakes etc. NOS and original parts refitted to the vehicle where possible, the original interior refitted which only required minor repair. Re-registered in 1996 until 2013. During this period the Brougham was rarely driven and mainly used as a weekend cruiser and displayed at car show events, winning best HK original on seven occasions at Victorian All Holden Day between 1999 and 2011. Also awarded Most Outstanding vehicle by General Motors at the All Holden Day Victoria in 2008.

In 2013 the Brougham placed on club registration. club registration expiring in 2022. The Brougham has been well maintained since restoration, always garaged and rarely driven, travelling approximately, 5,890 miles since 1996 restoration. The Brougham has been kept within the same family since purchased in 1971.
