This week saw the team wrapping up two Timed Online Auctions.

The first of the two was the Dealers & Collectors Timed Online Auction on the Tuesday night with a catalogue featuring over 150 lots with a great selection of Automotive, Petrol and oil, Tyre, Service Station Signage, Commercial Signage etc. and includes Tins, Bottles, Oilers, Boxes, Caps, Racks, Gauges, Enamel, Metal, Perspex and other signs as well as many other general collectables. Brands featured include Shell, Ampol, Golden Fleece, Castrol, Neptune, BP, Dunlop, Olympic, Goodyear, Jeep, Volkswagen, Smiths, Commonwealth Bank and many more.

Wednesday night saw us close out Part 3 of the popular Model Trains, Planes and Automobiles Timed Online Auction with a vast array of items for both the avid and casual collector. Featuring multiple lots including an amassed collection of New Old Stock. All the big names in trains –Hornby, MTH, Proto, Powerline, Auscision, Austrains. Varied scale sizes including HO, N Scale, and more. For the car collector there was Scalextric, Classic Carlectables, Trax, Matchbox and many others in 1:18 & 1:43 and 1:64 scales including car brands such as Ford, Holden, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover etc.

The highlights across the two nights included;

Dealers & Collectors Timed Online Auction

  • Lot 305, the hotly contested Original Case Power Farming Machinery Embossed Screen Print Tin Sign was the highest selling lot of the night selling for $,636.
  • A Mobil Man Metal Counter Sign at Lot 234 filled the second place for this auction selling for $1,141.
  • Closely followed in third position by a Goodyear Motorcycles Enamel Sign at Lot 213 which sold for $1,068.

Model Trains, Planes and Automobiles Part 3 Timed Online Auction

  • The highest selling lot for this auction was Lot 353 a Trainbuilder Victorian Railways H220 ‘Heavy Harry’ 4-8-4 HO Scale Locomotive in Box which sold for $1,159.
  • Another train piece, the Allchin Agricultural Traction Engine Model in Case (Lot 399) came in at second place fetching $555.
  • Rounding out the top three was a 1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SLR (W196S) Mille Miglia Sieger 1:18 Scale Model car (Lot 486) which made $518 when the final hammer fell.
