What an auction this November edition was, with a massive catalogue of 113 lots, competitive bidding and a big clearance rate over 91%, it was and auction you just couldn’t miss!

The November edition of the Muscle, Classic & Collectable Car & Motorcycle Auction wrapped up this week over three massively successful nights! With 113 desirable lots on display between our two headquarters in Bayswater Victoria and Beresfield NSW, there was a lot of anticipation as this catalogue oozed quality, and it showed, with a final clearance rate achieved of over 91%!

Night one of this massive auction kicked off on November 10th and had a massive selection of Aussie cars in addition to some very desirable American muscle cars too, with some massive prices being achieved on the night. Night two showcased some of the best muscle and classic vehicles on offer produced outside of Australia, with many classic American, European and Japanese cars and bikes going under the hammer. It proved to be a very popular night too with 38 out of 40 lots on the night selling, with heaps of activity coming from floor bidders! The third and final night put the exclamation point on this very successful auction, with some excellent results to cap off this fantastic auction.

The car that had everyone’s attention on Night 1 was Lot 18, an absolutely mint 1986 Holden HDT VL SS Group A Plus Pack which sold for a record price of $270,793! This HDT VL SS Group A had bidders going to war in the ring and online, with one lucky floor bidder coming out on top! Featuring in Night 1 too was the borderline factory new 2017 Holden GTSR Maloo LSA V8 Manual, which took out the second top price of the entire auction with a price of $159,080. In terms of investment quality, this Maloo fit the criteria extensively and with only 299 Kms on the odometer, bidders were scrambling for this one! The third best selling lot of the night and the entire auction came from our NSW base in Beresfield, a very impressive 1986 Holden HDT VL SS Group A V8 Manual Build 419. This car rounded out the top 3 best sellers of the auction, reaching a final price at the swing of the hammer of $142,870.

Night 2 proved to be a big night for cars and bikes with a legendary American muscle car taking the reigns as the top seller on this particular night, with the fantastic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS5 Auto selling for an impressive price of $128,583. It wasn’t just cars that sold well however, as the 96 year old 1929 Indian 101 Scout Motorcycle came out on top amongst the motorcycles selling for $45,843!

The auction came to a full close on Night 3, with the top selling lot of the night being a very nice Mercury Silver 2006 Ford FPV Super Pursuit 290 V8 Boss Auto Ute, which sold for $31,321.

Burns & Co would like to offer a huge thank you to our vendors, staff and bidders for making this sale a success, and most importantly for choosing Burns & Co. You can scroll through the images to see the TOP 10 RESULTS of this jampacked auction!
