Being offered UNRESERVED. 1924 Chrysler Maxwell, 1 family owner vehicle. Some vehicles have an amazing story, this is one of those cars! Bought new by the Melville family in 1924, it was the family car for some years. The original Melville’s brought their son home from hospital in the car and were at odds as to what to name him, they decided to name him after the car ‘Maxwell’.
Maxwell restored the car prior to his death 20+ years ago. Upon his death his wife loaned the car to the McFeeters so it would be admired and kept safe. It has remained on display since the museums opening and is now offered for sale for the first time since 1924. This is a truly remarkable example and would have to be one of only a handful if not the only 1924 Chrysler maxwell still held by the original family. No attempt to start. Measures 1750mm width, 4200mm length and 1900mm height.
