Fabulous Packard Straight Eight offered from a private collection, superbly restored and presented example.
Sold new by Wilshire Motors in Los Angeles on May 14, 1941, this fabulous Packard One-Twenty Club Coupe is understood to have arrived in Australia in December 2006 after being discovered in Arizona, coming from a dry climate in sound but tired condition, the car underwent a ground-up, body-off restoration over a ten year period by Packard club member John Parkes of Tweed Heads, Queensland. Returned to its former glory, the One -Twenty is finished in the original colours of burgundy & cream with matching cloth upholstery inside. Further improvements to the car were both cosmetic & mechanical including fuel pump overhauled, front & rear seat belts properly installed, Other noteworthy features include turn signals, working electric overdrive & Dietz driving lights. This vehicle comes with Preliminary Shop & Body manuals, a good history file & a sales brochure & some spare parts.
