Restored to a high standard in the mid-‘80s, this 1948 MG TC is a great driver and would be perfect for the club car. Finished in Fire-engine red with red trim, over silver-painted wire wheels. Red upholstery is in good condition. In the 1990’s 16” wheels were installed as well as a Morris Minor Differential (4,55:1) and fitted with front ventilated brakes. XPAG engine is a factory replacement, evidenced by a brass plate riveted in correct position on the engine block. Vehicle underwent an extensive full and complete restoration, assisted by a well-known MG specialist during the 1980s. Before that, it was purchased from a Central Coast owner who knew little of its history. Fitted with Lucas fog and headlights, headlights have halogen globes. A period luggage rack looks the part on the back of the car. The roof, tonneau and side curtains were renewed in 2000 and are in excellent condition. The vehicle moved to Western Australia from 2000 under the same owner and subsequently to Hobart, Tasmania, when it was purchased in 2016 by the present owner. Supplied with the vehicle are folders and a bag containing original factory Midget Instruction Manual, a TC Owners Club parts & services book and a service history. There’s also, brochures, advertising, Vendor also advises that the wiper motor was reconditioned and works fine and has been fitted with new kingpins.
