Stand out example in tip top condition! Purchased new by a Gladstone Farmer and was under his ownership for approximately 45 years. Always kept in the shed and not out in the weather, this workhorse escaped the elements and stood the test of time.
The second owner (an ex-Qantas pilot) brought the Ute from the original family, he stored it in a hanger alongside a small collection of early fighter planes which he used for joy flights & exhibitions. After a short time, he decided to sell the Ute to the present owner.
Upon the vendors purchase, it was shipped down to Melbourne where it underwent a bare metal body & paint restoration. When the vendor purchased the FJ, the speedo was showing 35,000 miles which is believed to be genuine given the overall good condition of the vehicle at that time.
The Ute has attended many car shows, wedding celebrations and a starring role in the 500th episode of the series Blue Heelers.
After 25 years of ownership the vendor has made the tough decision to part ways with the Ute and will no doubt put a smile on any Holden enthusiast who is lucky enough to become its next custodian.
