The BSA A10 range was introduced in response to the Triumph sports twins. Originally based on the smaller A7 500 twin and in a plunger frame, the design was continually upgraded and transitioned into a swing arm frame until it was replaced by the A65 in the 1960s. By 1960, the motor had been upgraded to the 356 Sports Camshaft, larger 1 1/8”Amal carb, Thick flange barrels and big bearing crank and rods. This is considered a nicer motor than the finicky Road Rocket version.
This example, E/N DA10 11067, would have been produced in mid 1960. It has been in storage for at least 10 years and has recently been recommissioned. An excellent older restoration, it starts easily and idles smoothly. Paint and chrome are in excellent condition.
