The Fordson Major was a famous series of agricultural tractors built by Ford in Dagenham, England, from 1945 to 1964. This example is from the period of 1958-1960. The vendor’s father purchased it from the Casey council in 1971 he was only the second owner. This tractor is in the same condition as it was purchased it back in 1971.

The tractor has been in a shed undercover all its life, it was his father’s baby, the first piece of farming equipment he ever purchased. Mechanically it has never had a cent spent on it, just the fuel tank needed to have the fixing bolts re bronzed twice. Powered by a 4 cylinder petrol engine the tractor is running as per the video.
