The EJ EH Holden Club Register has provided the following information: This EJ was the 8,888th Manual body, Special Station Sedan to be manufactured at the Pagewood plant in Sydney NSW. It is 1 of 1,203 Manual Special Station Sedan bodies, to be completed in the month of March 1963, at Pagewood. Upon completion, the body moved onto the final assembly, receiving Chassis Number: EJ36134S, making it the 35,134th EJ to be completed in Sydney NSW, at Pagewood, on approximately 14/04/1963.
This vehicle is one of only 15 EJ bodies on the EJ-EH Holden Club Register in this colour & trim combination, which sums up to be a rare find particularly in museum condition.
Purchased new by W H Allen with the sole purpose to pass it onto his grandson for his 21st birthday the car was kept in a dark dry garage in Bungendore NSW and periodically taken around the block to keep it in good running order. However, when the grandson turned 21 he didn’t want the car so it was subsequently sold. It is now with its 4th owner and has been exceptionally well cared for.
