Superb example, no expense spared, attention to detail is first class. If someone is looking for a car that they can drive safely anywhere at all and turn heads wherever they go, then this is it. The car features in the Industry Superfund Ad.
The EH was purchased in October 2016 out of country Western Australia and was a genuine one family owned vehicle and immediately came off the road for an extensive restoration.
The car was stripped down with the motor and gear box coming out and sent to have the block extracted to ensure it was suitable for a bore and stroke to 206 cubic inches from the original 179ci.
The gearbox was replaced with a T5 five speed and very recently completely refurbished. Triple Webers and high performance intake manifold added to the Yella Terra 12 port head. Two and a half inch extractors and full exhaust help the motor breath easily. New roller rockers and high performance internals added throughout, heavy duty sway bars, new power steering rack, Billet Industries Connet hinges, thermo fans and sound deadening.
The car was sent to Michael Lukich Smash repairs in Delacome, Ballarat for any rust removal and repainted in Portsea Blue Metallic with a Fowles Ivory roof. Michael then reassembled the car with rechromed bright work.
The car then went to Alan Crisp at Oz trim in Ballarat for new weathered leather upholstery throughout including the rear parcel area and wheel tubs. New roof lining was installed also.
The car was lowered 5 centimetres and rolls on BCI Industries 15×7 inch steelies. The front wheels have a 1cm off set to accommodate a HR disc brake conversion with cross drilled and vented discs. Large WB statesman drums on the back help with better stopping power. A Borg Warner LSD helps drive things out back.
Power steering and a collapsible steering column was installed to comply with engineering requests. Chrome bonnet and quarter panel spears installed. Rear wind deflectors added, new rear view mirrors and door handle scratch guards on all passenger doors. New Venetian blinds added along with sound deadening and new carpets.
They Victorian number plates HEH 206 are offered with the car to Victorians buyers (sold unregistered). Some spares include a painted visor ready to install and front mudguards also ready to install (see photos). The vendor has a rust free tail gate upper and lower available as well. A large file of receipts for work completed is available also.
