Beautiful California Special Tribute at its best! In mid-February 1968, the California Ford Dealers (Ford Dealer Advertising Fund) began to market a factory-built, limited-edition Mustang, called the GT/CS, or “California Special”. This resulted in 4,118 being produced during the 5 ½ months of production.
Designed with the iconic and highly desirable Shelby rear end this example is in great condition throughout. Having been tightly held for over 10 years it has undergone constant maintenance and the 289 V8 sounds like a muscle car should. Fitted with power steering to make it that much more comfortable this is ideally suited to a collector or Mustang enthusiast.
