Holden HK Monaro GTS 327 Type Two!
One owner car since 1984!. Purchased by the vendor 42 years ago in June of 1984, this tightly held and extremely sought after example is one of only 283 type two HK 327 Monaro’s built. With the assistance of Holden Historical services, the vendor has advised this is a matching numbers car with the date code on the block also corresponding to the build date which was during December 1968. Vendor advises that no body work has been carried out throughout his time of ownership still retaining the acrylic paint it had when he purchased the car. The original engine was rebuilt in December of 1984 with the vendor highlighting that the original engine number was not disturbed. Affectionately known by the vendor as Marilyn, it was used as an everyday driver until April of 1989 at which point it was put into dry storage in Bathurst NSW. After a period of hibernation, it was recommissioned in 2005 and has since been enjoyed partaking in social and motoring events. A comprehensive folder of paperwork including the bill of sale in 1984 to the vendor and lots of receipts and relevant documents. This is an excellent survivor example that has good provenance for the last 42 years, vehicle presents well and would be ideally suited to a collector or museum.
