The 1970 Ford Falcon XW GTHO Phase 1.5 is a rare “missing link” model that bridged the gap between the 1969 Phase 1 and the late-1970 Phase 2. Built between March and April 1970, it was primarily a homologation move to introduce the new 351 Cleveland V8 engine into the Falcon lineup before the full Phase 2 was ready.
This genuine XW GTHO Phase 1.5 (18939) built 04/1970 is running its original matching number 351 Cleveland engine (GL2734C), factory 4 Speed Manual (L), factory Reef Green (M) and hard to believe but original trim Dark Saddle (K). Other than some paint (approx 15 years ago) this car is very original and presents in outstanding condition for age. Listed as build 61 of 110 on the Phase 1.5 Register, 1 of 8 in Reef Green with Dark Saddle trim and 1 of 2 built with the same colour combination and minor options. It comes with the Ford verification letter and is available for inspection in our Bayswater facility.
This magnificent example is a rare matching number survivor. With only 110 units ever produced it is a must for the collector and any Ford or Aussie Motoring enthusiast.
