Can’t go past a purple Torana! Genuine LC GTR XU1 (LC82911), in the unmistakable Plum Dinga Purple.
Vendor advises it is a matching numbers vehicle still fitted with the Law and Brown 3100X prefixed 186 engine.

Built in Adelaide in the August of 1970, the vendor advises it’s a matching number example and still fitted with the original Law & Brown 3100X prefixed 186 6 cylinder engine. A quick google search reveals the term “AW & Brown (Law & Brown) engines XU-I” refers to the high performance version of the Holden 186 cubic inch engines used in the Holden Torana GTR XU-1 (see photo below).
Sold new by City Motors, Adelaide in the November 1970, the car has been very tightly held since with the previous owner of the Torana parking it up in his mothers garage during the 1980’s before he passed away where it remained until being purchased by the current owner in 2019. Since then they have carried out the restoration work including a full repaint in Acrylic in it’s original colour as well as having the engine fully rebuilt by Dandenong Rebores to get the car looking and sounding like it should.
The black interior is in very good condition and compliments the purple exterior, completing a true 1970’ Aussie icon…you cant go past a GTR XU-1 Torana.
