The Harley-Davidson X-90, universally known as the “Shortster” (a playful nod to the iconic Sportster), was a street-legal, Italian-built minibike. Produced from 1973 to 1975 under the AMF ownership era. Purchased by the vendor from the original owner in Florida it had been part of an extensive collection of bikes and cars. The vendor advises it is 99% original, unrestored survivor, from the seat to the grips, pegs, lights, oil filler cap, carby, wiring etc. It has recently had the following replaced, outer clutch side crank bearing and crank seal. Runs on 25:1 premix as the oil injection has been bypassed. Few examples have survived as many Shortsters were subjected to heavy off-road use by kids and young riders, which led to a high attrition rate. Today, surviving, all-original, or fully restored examples are highly sought-after collector’s items in the classic motorcycle community. Rare opportunity.
