Pedigree, Provenance & Presentation! This exquisite example has been driven into our Bayswater showroom by its long term owner. Purchased new by Mr Harold Kirby after winning a record quadrella dividend on the greyhounds. An article from the newspaper is supplied with the vehicle outlining Mr Kirby’s win and his intentions to purchase a new car. He subsequently ordered his new HQ LS Monaro through Lloyd Holyoak Motors of Warrandyte and took delivery of the car on the 28/11/1973. Ordered in Sunburst Metallic with Doeskin & Chestnut interior, the car remained under Mr Kirby’s ownership until his death in 1986 upon which time it was sold to friends of his and used sparingly as a second car. It was then on sold to the vendor nearly 15 years ago as a terrific survivor example but showing some minimal sign of its age. After enjoying the car for some years the decision was made to give the car a complete mechanical and body restoration which has resulted in one of the best HQ LS Monaros we’ve seen. All but flawless paintwork and beautifully finished interior adds to the desirability of this car, supplied with the original owner’s manual, warranty certificate outlining that it is a matching numbers car and a folder full of receipts and paperwork including photos of when the vendor purchased the car.
