Car was ordered by Noel Gould Holden Berwick, but first owner purchased through “Preston Motors Wodonga” after dealer to dealer transfer.
Wheels on the vehicle are genuine 3-piece Simmons in 15×10 rear and 15x 8 fronts, fitted with 265 50 15 rears and 225 50 15 fronts in as new condition.
Top end restoration took place over 10-15 years by previous owner including:
Paint and panels done by Nick Simmone restorations premium Glasurit paint colour and clear coat. $15K in materials alone.
Engine has only done 2600klms; has L34 valves and Crane roller rockers; machining by Duggen Brothers; block retains original engine number and its unique A9X crankshaft, X-rods and forged pistons.
Engine was set up on Ian Tate’s /Anthony Doves dyno by Ian Tate (HDT Fame) and produced 217KW at the rear wheels. Giving the engine a 400hp rating.
All suspension components comprising of a full Bilstein front and rear set up with all bushes and rubbers changed using genuine Holden items. This was done by the Torana/A9X guru Nathan Williams at Advantage Suspension in Moorabbin.
Exhaust is full mandrel bent over the diff with Lukey mufflers.
Spoilers and flares are genuine original¼ inch gauge white gel coat fiberglass, rear spoiler original GM plastic, bonnet spoiler genuine A9X fiberglass.
Front Brake air ducts are genuine – can’t get these anymore.
Retains genuine steering rack solid connection to cross member. All components, K frame, diff and control arms all powder coated back to factory finish.
New lightweight Clutch and Flywheel.
Interior was completed by Eastern Motor trimmers who purchased the original Holden presses that produced both door trims and golf ball trim.
Glass is genuine as well as all panels, bonnet, doors, guards etc..
Console genuine, console insert genuine, gear knob genuine.
Master cylinder genuine A9X with part number stamped on front.
Genuine A9X spec Brown Davis Drop Tank is fitted.
Aftermarket Temp and Oil Pressure gauges are fitted for extra ‘insurance’. Additional electric cooling fan also fitted.
The vehicle is complete and has no missing parts. 99% of items were refurbished or cleaned and put back on the car meaning it has genuine parts that cannot be found anymore.
Items Included in sale: 2 x 14×8 hotwire wheels genuine A9X (90mm rear offset). 3 x 14×6 hotwire wheels genuine fronts. Genuine Quadra jet carbi removed from vehicle. Genuine exhaust manifolds.
