Vendor Notes:
I purchased the car 16 years ago. It needed restoration which was carried out, it had 96000 miles on it and has travelled limited miles since.
Body work includes:
Two new front guards.
Two new sills including extra lateral strips for rigidity.
Two new under tank panels and valences.
New old stock Clock and Tacho.
The car was had all rust removed and was sprayed with rust inhibitors in enclosed panels.
The car then had a complete respray.
Interior is original and presents well.

Mechanically:
As it was not a matching numbers car it was decided to source a late low mileage HE motor.
We installed a rebuilt Jaguar 4 speed all synchro overdrive box (with a now very rare V12 manual bell housing)
The result is a car in which all the power of the V12 can be experienced, but also returns great fuel consumption.
The rear end was re built as was the LSD diff.
Front end was also rebuilt.
We have installed twin cooling fans and larger throttle bodies.
The distributor has been replaced.
Recently new brake callipers, rear and front were fitted (a year ago)
The battery has been moved to the boot for weight distribution and to keep it cool
The car comes with 5 original Kent alloy wheels and tool kit.

This is a very rare car one of only 407 Daimler Double Six’s produced world wide. Heritage Certificate comes with the car (see photo).

This is a great drivers car and reliable, recently we drove it up to Benalla for the all British day and it performed brilliantly.

This Jaguar drives well, with the engine pulling progressively and well. Engine operating temperature and oil pressure are within specifications. The car provides a smooth and relaxed drive – just as Jaguar intended.

The interior of the car presents well, with the original leather upholstery and polished woodwork on the dash. Externally the car would benefit from some attention in small areas to return the car to a high standard. Most of the paintwork presents well.
