The car comes with a comprehensive and regular service record: – Bryson’s NSW to June 1981, last NSW service Bowral March 1988, then moved to the Swan Hill/Rochester area of Victoria. Last comprehensive service (invoice available) was by Mike Roddy Motors November 2021 at 102820 km.
Purchased by the present owner in November 2021 as a comfortable car with air conditioning.
The current owner’s health issues have unfortunately prevented the car being used as intended, although it has been started and moved regularly. It is time to pass it on to another careful owner.
The XJ6 Series 2 is the last production Jaguar to have had personal input from Sir William Lyons, and is the last carburettor model, later production being fuel injected. The series 2 was replaced by the series 3 XJ6 in 1979.
Careful and continuous maintenance has ensured that this car continues to present as an exceptional and original example of the model.
