V8 Fairmont Wagon had a long term owner of 42 years.
Purchased by the vendor in 1983 as a Sunday car for family outings, this XE Fairmont V8 is believed to be one of only 345 built as a V8 Station Wagon and one of the remaining handful left today.
Tucked up in the garage of the family home for over four decades it is unbelievable just how well preserved it is. Interior is as good as it gets. Fitted with Motorcraft accessories including headlight and bonnet protector, it is also equipped with the rear 3rd row dickie seat and factory fitted A/C and power steering, just to make this incredibly rare car that much more desirable.
Having been purchased new by the managing director of Porsche Australia from Strapp Ford Doncaster on the 10/9/1982 it was on sold to the vendor at around 12 months old. Finished in its original coat of acrylic Sovereign Bronze and stunning Chamois velour interior, it would have been a head turner the day it rolled off the line. All the original books and manuals are supplied with the vehicle verifying it is a matching numbers car, it also comes with a full hand written log book of every service, every tank of fuel and any expense relating to the car to complete its pedigree.
