Luxury and pedigree all in one!
This 1984 Holden HDT Magnum is a rare Aussie collector car that was the top-of-the-line luxury offering from HDT in it’s day. While there are no exact production numbers available, it is believed that somewhere around 100 Magnums were produced, making it one of the rarest Peter Brock HDT models ever made. The Magnums were based on either a Deville or a Caprice model that was tricked up by HDT with unique styling along with significant engine and handling upgrades. The particular example build number 1778 was delivered new through John Sivyer Holden Moorooka QLD on the 9/11/1984. Other than a closed door respray over a decade ago, this example remains largely original, supplied with its original owner’s manual, HDT verification folder and original Holden dealer wallet. The original owner’s Thomas and Thelma Meadows owned Meadows transport and upon purchasing their new WB Statesman drove it to Melbourne where Thomas new management at HDT and allowed him to personally drive the car in to be fitted out as a Magnum, it is reported that this is the only Magnum to have the owner’s name instead of the dealers name on the HDT paperwork. This is an excellent example of a rare ad rarely seen car, inspections won’t disappoint.
