The 1986 Holden VL Commodore SS Group A was a homologation special, built to meet Group A racing regulations. It was the second car produced by Holden specifically for Group A racing, with 500 examples made. The car was designed to be a high-performance, race-bred machine, and it featured several unique elements compared to the standard VL Commodore.
This outstanding example is hard to fault. Build (405) 11/1986, with the Plus Pack option (featuring the much published “Polariser”), manual 5 speed, original books, exceptional condition and only 61867 Kms on the clock.
Known for their rarity and collectability, especially the Plus Pack models, its racing pedigree, and its iconic status as Peter Brock’s last HDT car. If there is a better one out there we haven’t seen it.
