One of the most original VL BT1’s we’ve seen!

This is a collector’s dream, one of the last VL Commodores of the line in July 1988, this one was put into service in August 1988 and was stationed at Queanbeyan until it was retired from the fleet in August 1989. It was sold through Christies Auctions in Leichhardt to its long term owner Mr J Sarles who owned the vehicle up until 2007. Mr Sarles kept a comprehensive paperwork file on the vehicle which included the receipt from when he purchased the vehicle from the auction house, all maintenance receipts, NSW Police report on the vehicle outlining exact dates and details of its service. The original owner’s manual is also supplied with the vehicle. The car was subsequently sold in 2007 to Mr P Taylor who lovingly cared for the car for many years and collected as much information about the car and its history as possible. The car is a VL Turbo that hasn’t been messed with, still fitted with the original ignition leads, sandalwood interior and even containing some of the original police fit out. This is definitely one for the collectors and will not disappoint for the enthusiast wanting an unmolested example.
