Ex National Holden Motor Museum Echuca display,1989 Holden VN Commodore factory MANUAL!
When the announcement of the National Holden Motor Museum’s closure came around, the current owner of this VN took the car back home. After the huge success Burns and Co had with the sale of the museum, and the vendor now downsizing, it has been driven into our Bayswater showroom for us to sell.
A very rare sight on today’s roads, a VN Commodore FACTORY 5 Speed Manual in the very rare Patheon Ivory with Palamino interior and showing just 92xxxKms, it presents beautifully.
Unlike most VN’s, this one hasn’t been messed with, still sitting on its 14” wheels and hubcaps with dealer fitted mud flaps, rear window louvre and drivers side weather shield it looks as it did back in the day.
Also fitted with genuine Holden cruise control which wasn’t normally available on Manual equipped models.
Vendor advises the first owner ordered the car from Tweed Motors, Tweed Heads NSW at the age of 85, he had the car until his passing in 2003 when it was stored in his son’s garage. Upon his son’s declining health well into his 80s, the car was sold to its second and current owner.
Originally ordered without Air conditioning, the original owner returned the car to the dealership to have A/C fitted.
After sitting for 15 years, the current owner had the following done : Fully recondition Gearbox, replace rear main seal, all new pulleys Inc water pump & power steering pump, replace balance shaft roller bearing, replace timing chain and tensioner, all new hoses, new brake pads and rotors plus lots of other items.
The car has been the recipient of multiple first prizes at car shows including all Holden days for best original.
Comes with owners’ book, GM Holden issued verification letter confirming the car is a matching numbers example and folder of receipts.
