The 1998 Series 1 AU Ford Falcon XR8 is a classic example of Australian performance engineering, developed by Tickford Vehicle Engineering.
This example is in excellent condition, being one of only a handful built as an XR8 series 1 Manual. A tightly held example being only a 2 owner vehicle both long term. Supplied with the vehicle is the original owner’s manual and service history, outlining that the vehicle was sold new by Brad Garlick Ford in Ryde NSW to Mr A Scheid of Tempe. Driven into our Bayswater showroom on Victorian Club Plates (sold unregistered) this is a fantastic opportunity to secure a low build number example in excellent survivor condition. Also included with the car is a numbered Biante Model of the exact vehicle.
Adding to its rarity, this example came equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, making it extremely desirable. It is mated to the legendary 5.0-litre “Windsor” V8 engine, which produced 185 kW of power and 412 Nm of torque. With this configuration and the colour of Red Hot Chilli it truly is an exceptionally rare combination making it highly sought after by collectors.
