This item has been in the vendor’s possession since 1987, the time of Brock’s famous bust up with GMH. Still in its original box with the blue sticker and has never been fitted to a vehicle. The vendor was a partner in the Bendigo advertising agency Cook Green & Moore which held the Victorian Holden Regional Dealers promotion account throughout the late 80s and well into the 90s. It was a joint venture between GMH and the dealers and funded equally by both parties. The company used Brock in their television commercials for the partnership and got to know him quite well. The tension with Holden over the Polarizer built gradually. Brock’s solution was to appoint us to take over the marketing and distribution of the Polarizer hoping this arrangement would satisfy Holden and keep the relationship intact. The company then acquired stock and started distributing Polarizers, but, as we know, that was no solution. Brock and GMH still parted ways shortly afterwards. Days later a GMH senior executive paid the company a visit with a simple message, you can either work for us or for Brock, make a choice. The vendor advises that they went with the safe option and chose GMH. The company was left with a handful of Polarizers on the shelf. This one, serial no 571 is the last one left. The others were either fitted to vehicles or disappeared many years ago.
