Now Live: May Muscle, Classic & Collectable Auction Underway

Pre-bidding is now OPEN and the online catalogue is live for Burns & Co’s May auction series, commencing Monday 18th May and running across three distinct auction nights through to Wednesday 20th May 2026.

The first two nights are dedicated to our May Muscle, Classic & Collectable Car & Motorcycle Auction, delivering a strong offering of Australian muscle, collector classics, premium enthusiast vehicles and motorcycles across our Bayswater (Melbourne) and Beresfield (Newcastle) facilities.

The third and final night transitions into our May Motoring & Affordable Classics Auction, broadening the catalogue with accessible enthusiast vehicles, affordable classics, project cars, motoring parts, wheels, automobilia and collector-focused garage items.

Together, the three-night format delivers a well-rounded and accessible catalogue that caters to buyers at every level – from serious collectors and marque enthusiasts through to first-time bidders, restorers and trade buyers.

Leading the opening two nights is a standout mix of blue-chip Australian collector cars, headlined by a highly collectible 1970 Ford XY GT Falcon in rare Bronze Wine, a genuine 1985 HDT VK SS Group A “Blue Meanie”, and an exceptional 1988 Holden VL Group A Walkinshaw (Build No. 327), one of the most recognisable and tightly held homologation Holdens of the era.

Holden performance is a major strength throughout the catalogue, with the May sale also featuring a genuine 1974 HQ Monaro GTS Coupe in sought-after Saffron, a 1978 HZ Sandman, multiple Brock and HSV-era performance cars, and a broad mix of Holden collector metal spanning several generations.

Ford enthusiasts are equally well represented, with the catalogue featuring GT Falcons, factory V8 wagons, late-model FPV performance and select Mustang offerings, delivering strong appeal across both Australian and international Ford buyers.

International and prestige offerings again add depth to the first two nights, with collector-grade European and American entries including Porsche, Corvette and other premium enthusiast vehicles rounding out the upper end of the catalogue.

Motorcycle enthusiasts are also well catered for, with a strong mix of British and American classics led by a 1968 Harley-Davidson FLH “Genny Shovel” and a 1971 Norton Commando Norvil, supported by a wider range of enthusiast motorcycles across the sale.

The Wednesday night Motoring & Affordable Classics Auction offers a different but equally worthwhile mix, built around practical enthusiast vehicles, affordable classics, project cars, commercial vehicles and collectible garage items. Highlights include a 1980 Leyland Mini Moke, 1974 Holden HQ Statesman factory manual project, 1984 Cadillac Eldorado, 1993 Toyota Coaster, 2019 Holden Colorado Z71 and a broad range of genuine NOS parts, wheels and automobilia.

Across all three nights, the May catalogue delivers depth, variety and broad market appeal, giving buyers multiple entry points across collector, enthusiast and affordable motoring segments.

With pre-bidding now underway, we encourage bidders to explore the catalogue early, shortlist their favourites and get involved ahead of the live auction nights.
