ABC takes a look at the Echuca National Holden Motor Museum Auction

By What's News

An interesting read on the Burns & Co Echuca National Holden Motor Museum Auction and the wider classic & collectable car market.

The ABC recently took a deeper dive into the record-breaking Echuca National Holden Motor Museum Auction in an online article. Looking at the excitement and anticipation that surrounded the auction through to delving into some of the auction results, as well as comparative results from other sales the article takes a look at the thirst for Classic & Collectable cars in the Australian market.

“Holden muscle cars sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars as National Motor Museum in Echuca closes. In 1972 you could have driven a Holden Monaro GTS out of a new car dealership for just under $7,500.

Just over half a century later, that same Monaro has changed hands for $346,185 at auction.”

Circa 1890 Huddart, Parker and Co Enamel Sign arrives at Burns & Co

By What's News
Another quality entry has just come in the door here at Burns & Co for our upcoming NEXT LEVEL COLLECTORS AUCTION

This stunning circa 1890 HUDDART, PARKER & Co Enamel Sign featuring the steamer “SS BURRUMBEET” a steel steamer built by Swan & Hunter of Wallsend, England in 1885 for the inter-colonial trade.

The sign advised intending passengers that steamers left the HUDDART-PARKER wharf at the bottom of Margaret St, Sydney and travelled every Tuesday and Saturday for Melbourne and Geelong.

These signs are now recognised as one of our countries most desirable, recognisable and valuable given its age, its subject matter, its detail and in this case its condition.

This is an Investment quality sign.
Please keep an eye on our website and our social media channels for further details of when it will be sold.
