Burns & Co has enjoyed tremendous growth since putting its footprint into Bayswater, Vic in 2019 and only recently have expanded and improved our auction rooms to be state of the art and one of the market leaders.

Our rapid growth has bought about the need for an additional staff member to join our Melbourne auto team on a full time basis. The AUTO TEAM MEMBER will join our team to assist with client meet and greet as well as the co-ordination of receival, delivery and preparation of cars and motorcycles for auction and other general tasks to assist the auto team. The role is based in Bayswater, VIC facility.

Agent’s comments:  Alf Hardman was a passionate, well-respected collector who had an appetite for the old, the interesting and the desirable. Several of the vehicles on offer are world class including an extremely rare 1912 Siddeley-Deasy. The early Dennis fire engine is as good as I’ve seen and there’s an extensive and varied list of collectables. All items will be on display in Bayswater, Victoria 3153 and will be offered by way of public auction from the Burns & Co premises…an opportunity not to be missed.

This week saw a big auction week for the Burns & Co team with four different auctions wrapping up over the seven-day period. There were some great results and lots of competitive bidding. Some of the highlights of this week’s auctions included*;

• A Superb Original TEXACO Double Sided Enamel Sign fetching $15,145 to take the top price at the Next Level Collectors Auction. Just behind that was the Superb Original SHELL 4 Piece Embossed Enamel which went for $14,562 and the Superb Original Mobil PEGASUS Enamel “Cookie Cutter” which fetched $13,980.

• An Enamel Double Sided FIRESTONE TYRES Post Mount sign which topped all other items at $4,776 in the Bill & Mary Bray Collection Timed Online Auction that closed on Sunday.
• The Biante 1985 HOLDEN VK COMMODORE SS Group A model car that sold for $512 to top the lot list in the Vintage & Collectable Toys Timed Online Auction on Tuesday evening.
• And the MICHELIN TYRES Miles And Smiles Enamel Sign which shot past all other lots to be the standout item sold in the Enamel Sign Collection Timed Online Auction selling for $854.
