Genuine Torana A9X up for auction in September

By What's News

Talk about opportunity!

These do not come up very often so read on.

The 1977 Holden Torana A9X was a high-performance option pack for the LX series, available on both the SL/R 5000 sedan and SS hatchback. It was designed with racing in mind, featuring upgrades like a stronger diff, revised suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. The A9X played a significant role in Holden’s racing success, particularly in the ATCC and Bathurst 1000. It was a dominant force on the track, with notable wins in the 1978 and 1979 racing seasons, including Peter Brock’s iconic six-lap victory at Bathurst in 1979. Only 405 A9X Toranas were built for the public across both sedan and hatchback body. The A9X is considered a pinnacle of Holden’s factory-built muscle cars and a legendary Australian race car.

This very genuine, very original 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟳 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗫 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝟵𝗫 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 sounds fantastic and looks even better sitting on the showroom floor of our Newcastle Facility. With factory Flamenco Red paint and Chamois interior this car has been extremely well preserved. It comes with a folder of documents and receipts dating back to the 1970s including Certificates of Authenticity from A9X Torana (CAMS affiliation) confirming original engine and list of options ordered with the car.

It’s entered into our Auction on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd (if required) of September 2025, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to bid on this rare classic.

View more information, images and video on this LX Torana A9X here.

𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬 𝟱𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬𝗞𝗠𝗦 & 𝗜𝗧’𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗗!!!

By What's News

Don’t miss out on this one!

Is this the best VN Group A SS around? Well, it certainly is the best one we’ve seen. And the kicker? It is being offered for auction UNRESERVED!!!

This beautiful 1990 Holden VN SS Group A Build No: 034 V8 Manual has only 52,353 Kms on the clock and the only way to describe this time capsule is mint. This one has come into our Bayswater showroom to finalise part of a deceased estate, and this Group A has been lovingly cared for by its late owner for the past 23 years. Very well looked after it has been tucked up in the garage not seeing rain or UV in a very long time and it’s now time for it to find a new home.

Outside, this car, a 5.0 Litre V8 Manual and build number 034, is impeccable with it appearing to have not had any paint work touched up or altered since the day it rolled off the line, the interior is schmick with no wear or fading on any of the upholstery. It also comes complete with the original books verifying it is a matching numbers car.

This is an example that defines investment quality and collectability and will no doubt impress any potential buyers. Its up for auction UNRESERVED in our  September Muscle, Classic & Collectable Car & Motorcycle Auction to be held on Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd (and Wednesday 3rd if required) of September 2025.

View more information, images and video on this VN SS Group A here.
